Adding more Stores

Slowly, the town seems to be coming together.

Today I managed to complete a cute little camping site. At first I placed it on a 3x2 lot as I usually stick to smaller lots (2x2 more than often) but it didn't look right. Much too cramped and not very open like I wanted. So, I scraped that one and placed down a 3x4 lot to try to work with instead. This provided me with just the right amount of space and I'm happy with the results.

I also took a few sneak peek pictures of the camp ground, including the custom sign I made for it.

The grocery store has also been added and completed, as well as a small town house and the pumpkin farm being ready for sims to move in to.

I've also had some ideas brewing for how things will work in the town, what goals, both large and small, I want the townsfolk to strive for. I still have many points of which I'm undecided, like if I want a school and, if so, do I want it to be for just kids or just teens or both, but I'm open to allowing the town to flow and change as is needed.

Sneak Peeks

After placing Harvest Hollow back into my game finally after installing Free Time, I managed to finish another store. This time I worked on the clothing store that may eventually turn into a more general sewing store over time. We shall have to see how it plays out.

I finally managed to snag a few of the first sneak peek photos of Harvest Hollow as well.

Hobby Lots

With withering patience, I finally managed to build and properly place the Sports, Food, Lit/Film, and Games clubs.

The Sports lot gave me the most trouble and I had to rebuild it several times. I'm pleased with how it turned out since I really don't like sports to begin with, but I took out the idea of the basketball court and instead used soccer and a combined roller/ice skating rink. It was the last of the club lots and I am now thankfully through with them.

Also, in my testing, I did finally manage to edit the neighborhood terrain of the hobby sub hood, adding in pine trees and stumps to at least finish fitting it in with Harvest Hollow's environment.

The Beginning

Currently I have pretty much finished the General store, the bookstore, and a pancake diner. Since obtaining Free Time though, I've taken out all my neighborhoods and done a lot of play testing to get the feel of the new expansion as well as to gather information, such as getting rid of any new NPCS.

In my playing around, I found that it is possible to replace the default secret clubs. I rather like the idea of having hobby clubs within Harvest Hollow so I've been doing the tedious job of building and testing and destroying to start the cycle all over again. I'm sure there is a much easier way to do this but I'm at a loss how currently. However, what I would really like to also edit is the default sub hood where the secret clubs are located. I would like to make them woodsier to match Harvest Hollow but my previous tests on doing this failed. Perhaps when I finish the hobby lots I shall try again.

I currently have completed to my satisfaction the Arts and Crafts, Nature, Tinkering, Fitness, Dance, and Science clubs.
